YouTube unveils 2024’s top trending videos and creators in the Philippines

As 2024 comes to a close, millions of Filipinos have once again spent countless hours this year watching their favorite content and creators on YouTube. For the country, it’s become the new TV as they turn to the popular streaming platform to get their regular dose of video entertainment — whether it’s vlogs, music videos, how-to content, and so much more.

To wrap up the year, YouTube has the list of videos, music videos, and creators that took the Philippines by storm in 2024. At the very top of the trends is Filipino content creator Esnyr’s kilig-inducing romcom short “Highschool Heartbreak Experience.”

YouTube is also the main place to watch LSS-worthy music videos anytime, anywhere. After the breakout year that they’ve had, it’s no surprise that the Nation’s Girl Group BINI has the top spot with two of their hits: “Salamin, Salamin” and the global smash “Cherry On Top.” It doesn’t stop there: for Filipinos, OPM reigns supreme with all but one of the spots in the Top 10 being taken by local songs.

And as for the creators most beloved by Filipinos, the data shows that we love watching drama and fiction content. Asian-American actor and creator Alan Chikin Chow is at #1, followed by Esnyr.
