In a press conference, Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte admitted that she had already spoken with an assassin to kill Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and their cousin, Speaker Martin Romualdez. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin has directed the Presidential Security Group (PSG) to investigate this “clear threat” against the President from VP Sara Duterte.
Currentph got information that the PSG is now on RED ALERT. The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) has issued an official statement regarding the active threat from the Vice president.
This is not the first time that Ms. Duterte threatened bodily harm against the President. The first was when Ms. Duterte desired to cut off the head of PRRM after the president refused to give his watch to a PMA graduating student. It was entirely different the second time, with Sara Duterte herself saying that her talks with an assassin is “no joke.” Sara Duterte rushed to the House of Representatives after her close friend and Chief of Staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez was cited in contempt. Lopez was in the custody of the House’s Sergeant at Arms. Many say Sara’s actions were a panic reaction. Remember what happened to former close Duterte associate, retired Colonel, and PCSO chairman Garma, who, after being jailed, eventually spilled the beans against the Dutertes for their so-called reward system to encourage extra-judicial killings. The Marcos-Duterte rift has taken a severe turn, with Ms. Duterte already thinking of killing her President.
What will the palace do? Will they arrest the Vice President for her threat against the President? During Duterte’s time, a teacher who jokingly said that he thought of ordering someone to kill former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte was arrested and slapped with a criminal case of sedition. The courts eventually found him innocent of the crime. Will the Department of Justice (DOJ) again make the Vice president unaccountable for this?
Seems like the Vice president is really in a panic mode. As a lawyer, Sara Duterte knows that the minute she’s unveiled as a person who committed a grave infraction against the Filipino people, that would signal an end of their political dynasty.
