Donald Trump said it’s “too late” for another debate against Kamala Harris at his campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
“The problem with another debate is that it’s just too late,” Trump told his supporters. “Voting has already started.”
“She’s had her chance to do it with Fox,” he continued, referring to Fox News’s past offer to host a debate in early- to mid-October.
On Saturday morning, Harris accepted CNN’s invitation for a second presidential debate on October 23. Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are set to face off in the first 2024 vice presidential debate on October 1.
“Vice President Harris is ready for another opportunity to share a stage with Donald Trump,” campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon told CNN. “Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate.”
North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, a Republican was originally slated to attend the rally. However, he will no longer make an appearance after a bombshell report from CNN revealed he referred to himself as a “black Nazi” and said “slavery is good,” among other shocking remarks, on a porn forum. The 56-year-old has denied making the comments.
Trump did not mention Robinson at his North Carolina rally.
Rep. Matt Gaetz, the MAGA-fied Florida Republican, attended a drugged-up sex party with a 17-year-old girl he has long claimed not to know, according to three eyewitnesses cited in court papers filed late Thursday night
