The Ridleys frontman Benny Manaligod recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Sofia. The wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love, filled with personal touches that reflected their artistic spirits. The couple met at the University of the Philippines Diliman during a fundraising gig. Sofia’s spoken word performance inspired Benny, and they quickly fell in love. To commemorate their special day, Benny dedicated an entire album to Sofia – “All These and More”, which was released just before their wedding day. In case you missed it, the newly released album includes songs “Be With You,” “Love Is,” and “Euphoria,” to name a few.
The ceremony was held at the University of the Philippines Diliman, where their love story began. Sofia wore her mother’s wedding gown, adding a touch of tradition to the event. Meanwhile, the reception was a vibrant celebration filled with live music and heartfelt speeches, according to Film8. Aside from The Ridleys themselves, there were also performances by their fellow OPM artists – Over October, Any Name’s Okay, Martti Franca, and Coeli.

It was truly a “labor of love,” as Film8 described Benny and Sofia’s wedding. The bride, being a graphic artist, personally designed their wedding invitations. Her bouquet, on the other hand, was crafted by her best friend Sunshine, who also coordinated and hosted the event. With everything captured on film, Film8 created a timeless, cinematic, and aesthetic record of the special day.
