Tell it to SunStar: No to mendicancy

The number of beggars on the streets has once again grown these past few days.

There’s nothing surprising about this since it happens like clockwork almost every year.

They descend on the metro to take advantage of people’s kind hearts in the leadup to Christmas.

But I urge the public not to indulge them, especially since giving money to mendicants is against the law.
