THE shear line and the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to bring rains over parts of Luzon, the weather bureau bared Saturday, January 4, 2025.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the shear line will bring cloudy skies with rains over the northernmost Batanes province.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley due to the northeast monsoon.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains, Pagasa warned.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Strong to gale winds and moderate to rough seas are expected over extreme Northern Luzon.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate coastal waters will be felt over the rest of Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon.
The rest of the archipelago will have light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
