MANILA, Philippines — The sweepstakes for former PVL MVP Ces Molina and Ria Meneses is on as multiple pro clubs eye the pair for next season.
After the shocking departure of Molina and Meneses, multiple sources confirmed to Inquirer Sports that teams such as Nxled, Capital1, and Strong Group Athletic clubs Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee are eyeing to acquire the spiker-middle blocker tandem.

Capital1 coach Roger Gorayeb told Inquirer Sports that the pair would be a great addition to their rising program.

“Magandang addtion sila sa team namin pero kakausapin pa lang ng team manager namin,” he said.
Another source privy to the situation bared that the winless Nxled hopes to beef up its roster with the addition of both players, while ZUS Coffee or Farm Fresh could also be a possible destination.
“We [are] planning to try after this conference like the other teams din siguro dahil Molina and Meneses yan,” Mozzy Ravena told Inquirer Sports.
Molina and Meneses are under one management with ZUS Coffee’s Jovelyn Gonzaga and Chai Troncoso and Farm Fresh’s Rachel Anne Daquis and Jheck Dionela, who all came from Cignal before finding their new home in Strong Group teams.
Alohi Robins-Hardy, who has to undergo the PVL Draft and is currently part of Farm Fresh’s coaching staff, is also part of Avior.

However, as per the rules the PVL shared during a press conference last November, a player who already suited up for a team in the ongoing All-Filipino Conference can no longer play with another team during the duration of the tournament. The earliest the Molina and Meneses could see action for another team is during the Reinforced Conference.
PVL Commissioner Sherwin Malonzo has yet to respond to the request for confirmation as of posting.
Cignal also said it is considering exploring legal options after the players allegedly didn’t respond during their negotiations last year and subsequently did not attend at the resumption of training this week.
“We are currently consulting our legal team to determine all possible courses of action regarding this material breach of both players’ contracts. Team management initiated renewal discussions via formal offers as early as October 2024. Unfortunately, both players have not responded to any communications and have ceased attending training since its resumption earlier this week.”
