The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On July 30, 2024, the Intelligence Directorate of the Army referred the Syrian national (A.H.J.) to the competent judicial authorities after the Internal Security Forces handed him over. He is accused of gathering information for the Israeli enemy, as well as being involved in fraud, swindling, and forgery. During the investigation, it was not established that he operated within Beirut, nor was he tasked with gathering information about any political party office there.
