The BMA’s General Practitioners Committee for the UK has voted in favour of stopping hiring physician associates (PAs) in general practice and for existing roles to be phased out.
At a GPC UK meeting on 17 October an overwhelming majority of committee members voted in favour of a motion saying that it believes that the role of PAs in general practice was “fundamentally unsafe.”
