Mariing kinondena ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang ginawang pagpapakawala ng flare ng dalawang eroplano ng China sa ruta ng Philippine Air Force sa Bajo de Masinloc noong August 8 habang nagsasagawa ng routine maritime patrol sa Scarborough Shoal na malinaw na pasok sa Philippines’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
