A fire at the Central Public Market in Bacolod City destroyed goods worth over P4.7 million on December 13, 2024. The blaze broke out around 8 AM, according to Bureau of Fire Ground Commander FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip.
The fire severely affected the market, completely destroying 18 structures and partially damaging 12 others.
Twelve fire trucks, one rescue vehicle, and one ambulance were dispatched to control the flames.
