Netflix struggles to reduce its productions’ carbon footprint, with more emissions in 2022 vs. 2019, partly because it doesn’t own any equipment or studio space  —  Virgin River is using batteries and Bridgerton is testing out hydrogen, but the company’s overall emissions reduction progress has been marginal.
