Monday, October 7, is the second to the last day for aspirants for elective positions in the midterm National and Local Elections in May 2025 to file their certificates of candidacy (COCs) with the Commission on Elections.
A total of 18,280 seats covering 14 posts in 254 legislative districts will be up for grabs in Eleksyon 2025.
In the national race, 12 senatorial seats, 63 seats for party-list representatives, and 254 seats for congressional district representatives will be available.
For the local polls, the number of available seats are:
- Governor — 82
- Vice Governor — 82
- Member, Sangguniang Panlalawigan — 800
- City Mayor — 149
- City Vice Mayor — 149
- Member, Sangguniang Panlungsod — 1,690
- Municipal Mayor — 1,493
- Municipal Vice Mayor — 1,493
- Member, Sangguniang Bayan — 11,948
- BARMM Members of the Parliament — 25
- BARMM Party Representatives — 40
Those aspiring for Senate seats as well as party-list groups eyeing seats in the House of Representatives have to file their COCs and certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONA) at the Manila Hotel Tent City.
Aspirants for local posts and House seats have to file their COCs at Comelec offices and other designated venues.
The Comelec will receive COCs and CONAs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The last day of filing of COCs is on Tuesday, October 8.
