MANILA, Philippines–Meralco and Ginebra have gone on to write one of the more colorful rivalries in the PBA over the past few years.
Justin Brownlee played most of that newfound rivalry against the Bolts in recent history while Meralco had its own import to match up against the Gin Kings’ resident import.

MANILA, Philippines—Meralco coach Luigi Trillo had excuses after the Bolts bowed to Ginebra in Game 1 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup’s best-of-three quarterfinals.
Meralco succumbed to the Gin Kings, 100-92, to virtually be pushed back to a twice-to-win disadvantage on Wednesday at Araneta Coliseum.
