AUTHORITIES arrested one of the most wanted persons in Lanao del Sur, who had been hiding in the Soccsksargen region, during a law enforcement operation, the police said on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Police Colonel Roberto Daculan, Lanao del Sur police director, identified the arrested individual as alias Mangca, of legal age, and a resident of Sundig village, Butig, Lanao del Sur.
Daculan said Mangca was arrested during a law enforcement operation when a warrant of arrest was served around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 10, in Malapatan, Sarangani.
Daculan added that Mangca is the number four most wanted person in Lanao del Sur and the number one most wanted person in the town of Balindong, also in the same province.
He said Mangca has a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of murder, with no recommended bail, issued by a court in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, dated January 6, 2025.
The fugitive was arrested during a manhunt operation launched by joint police operatives from Lanao del Sur and Sarangani provinces.
Mangca was taken to the Malapatan Municipal Police Station for booking and was subsequently transported to the Balindong police headquarters in Lanao del Sur for further documentation and proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
