Filipina actresses Kim Chiu and Julia Barretto are both vying for awards at the Asian Television Awards 2024!

According to the Asian Television Awards’ website, Kim has been nominated in the “Best Actress in a Leading Role” category for her role in the Filipino remake of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, while Julia was nominated in the “Best Leading Female Performance — Digital” category for her performance in Secret Ingredient.
The Linlang actress is competing against seven other actresses: Robyn Malcolm from Australia; Zhou Xun, Wu Jin-Yan, Ma Sichun, and Xu Fan from China; as well as Charmaine Sheh and Selena Lee from Hong Kong.
The Filipino remake of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim also received a nomination for “Best Theme Song.”
Meanwhile, the Un/Happy For You actress will be competing against three actresses in her category: Jessica Hsuan and Fang Rong from Singapore, and Bao Shang-En from China.
Additionally, Secret Ingredient was also nominated in the “Best Original Digital Series” category. This mini-series marks a first for Julia and XO, Kitty star Lee Sang-heon.
The Asian Television Awards is considered one of the largest entertainment and broadcast awards in the Asia-Pacific region.
The prestigious awards ceremony will take place on November 29 and 30 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
