The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Strategic Communications (StratComm) group holds the last leg of the regional conference for information officers (IOs) at the Grand Menseng Hotel in Davao City from June 25 to 28.
The four-day conference was attended by DSWD IOs from the Mindanao Cluster.
Officials of the StratComm, including Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Communications Raymond Robert Burgos, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Asst. Secretary for StratComm and Agency Operations Service (AOS) Director Lara Duran, Digital Media Service (DMS) Director Dianne Joie Ruiz, and Traditional Media Service (TMS) Director Aldrine Fermin, discussed various strategies in unifying and strengthening the agency’s communications efforts anchored on the directions laid down by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian.
The Luzon and Visayas cluster-conferences were held on May 14 to 17 in Baguio City and on June 4 to 7 in Cebu City, respectively. The island cluster conferences serve as prelude to a national IO conference in October.
