The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is one of the biggest and most-awaited events of bookworms. And now, it is on its second run in Manila, at the Glorietta Activity Center from June 19 to 26, 2024!

Here are some tips to make your Big Bad Wolf shopping experience easier:

1. Visit the sale as soon as you can

Big Bad Wolf will be at the Glorietta Activity Center for a week, and while it’s true that they restock daily, the best books get sold right away and may take a while to be replenished – especially the best sellers like China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems.

So visit the sale as soon as possible to get first dibs on the best books.

2. Collect and select

Big Bad Wolf has over two million books spread out at the Glorietta grounds, so there’s a chance that you won’t see the same title twice. Pro tip: Place all the books you like in your cart as you pass by because you might not see them again or even forget where you last saw them. Worse, someone else might pick up the book you want.

Once you’re done collecting all the books that interest you, you can sort them out and identify what you really want to check out. Just be a responsible bookworm and help your fellow readers by returning the books you’ll no longer buy. If you don’t remember where you exactly got them, at least put them back in their genre’s section.

3. Take a photo of the price list

As you go around the book sale, you’ll notice that the books don’t have prices on their covers. Instead, you’ll see price tags with a letter. Atop each table, you’ll see billboards announcing the price list guide where each letter corresponds to a price point. For example, books marked H are P220, while those labeled J are P340. Just note that there are different price points per letter, per genre.

Pro tip: take a photo of the billboard price of your favorite genre so you can easily check how much the books in your cart are, and you don’t need to go back to where you got your books just to check the price.

4. Set a budget

Buying everything you want is tempting because the books are priced so low. Books marked A are only P20! Low prices accumulate when you hoard, and you’ll be surprised when your haul already costs P5,000. Pro tip: Enter the Big Bad Wolf Sale with a budget in mind and stick to it so you don’t go beyond your target spend.

5. Be a Metrobank cardholder and score deals!

There are so many perks to being a Metrobank cardholder at the Big Bad Wolf. Metrobank is the official bank partner, so accountholders had access to the exclusive pre-sale from 10 AM to 12 NN on opening day. Metrobank cardholders enjoyed an extra two hours to shop to their heart’s content before the book sale was opened to the public.

Pro tip: Metrobank has a booth at the Big Bad Wolf sale where you can play games and take photos to get freebies, including a P100 voucher. You just need to show your credit or debit card or your Metrobank Mobile app to get a voucher. And when you spend at least P2,000, you can use your voucher to add to your shopping budget. You can also learn about Metrobank’s Lifebanking website, where you’ll discover different financial products that may suit your needs in your current life stage.

And when you’re done shopping, go straight to the Metrobank exclusive payment lanes for an effortless checkout experience. Just look for the big ‘Metrobank Cardholder’ sign at the counters.

This is our biggest pro tip: use your Metrobank credit card to avail of 0% installment payment terms on your credit card for three months. This flexible payment option is available for a minimum single-receipt purchase of P3,000.

Don’t have a Metrobank credit card yet? There is no need to worry because Metrobank will accept applications during the Big Bad Wolf book sale. You may also visit apply.metrobank.com.ph/creditcard to enjoy exclusive Metrobank benefits.

Download the latest version of the Metrobank App via the App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery to experience smart, simple, and secure banking. With the Metrobank App, you can view your transactions, check your credit card balances, and pay your bills safely and in real-time.
