This comes after Russia criticised Ukraine’s peace summit, calling it “irrelevant”. China has also declined to attend the conference, saying it perceives the summit lacking equal representation from both opposing sides in the ongoing Russia Ukraine war. Meanwhile, the Russian forces have made gains on the battlefield, with President Vladimir Putin saying, “As soon as Kyiv declares its readiness for an actual troop withdrawal and officially notifies that they abandon plans to join NATO, an immediate ceasefire will follow from Moscow’s side.” Will the Peace Summit reap the desired result for Ukraine?
