The Worldwide Handsome is finally back, ARMYs! Jin has been officially discharged from his mandatory military service today, June 12, after 18 months.
In a live broadcast on Korean media, SBS News, he was seen leaving his base and getting emotional as he hugged his fellow soldiers. The BTS members were also present to welcome him and celebrate his military discharge!

Jin served as an assistant drill instructor at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. In July 2023, he got promoted to corporal earlier than scheduled after receiving the title of “elite soldier.”
He will hold an in-person event on June 13 at Jamsil Arena in Seoul as part of BTS’ 11th-anniversary celebration, where he’ll give out hugs to ARMYs and showcase various performances.
He’s the first BTS member who enlisted in the military in December 2022. All BTS members are currently fulfilling their military service and are expected to reconvene in 2025. *One down, ARMYs!*
