“I once thought that a fallen star can never be reborn. For years, it kept itself absorbed in the dark void. But it once again found its light,” she began her post.

The newly crowned MUPH 2024 first expressed gratitude to her parents, whom she said served as her “pillar of strength and inspiration.”

“I was calm because I imagined you were holding my hands. Every word I spoke came from the genuine heart you both nurtured. Every step I made on the stage, led us to achieving the crown we all dreamed of. You, both, deserve my eternal gratitude.”

She then thanked her team from Bulacan, calling them her heroes and her fellow MUPH candidates for treating her like a family.

“You treated me like family. I learned many lessons from you that I would carry throughout my journey,” she emphasized.

She concluded her post by promising to do her best to win the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown.

“Sa’yo mahal kong Pilpinas, gagawin ko ang lahat para iuwi ang pang-limang korona. Hindi kita bibiguin. Ilalaban natin ito. Maraming salamat po [To my beloved Philippines, I will do everything to bring home the fifth crown. I will not fail you. We will fight for it. Thank you very much].”

Chelsea bested over 52 candidates at the MUPH 2024 held at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 22. She made history as the Filipino-Black American who won the title.
