EastWest Rural Bank Leads Health and Education Initiatives in Davao Del Norte with Innovative Program

EastWest Rural Bank (EWRB) proudly inaugurated its inaugural Brigada Eskwela campaign of the year at Gupitan Elementary School, situated in the remote barangay of Gupitan, Kapalong, Davao Del Norte. This event marks the commencement of a series of Health & Wellness initiatives that the Bank will undertake in collaboration with partner districts/divisions or schools nationwide, underscoring EWRB’s unwavering commitment to the Department of Education’s MATATAG agenda, aimed at empowering teachers to excel in their daily teaching endeavors.

The program featured a diverse array of activities tailored to uplift and engage educators. These included interactive games, a raffle draw offering prizes such as a Huawei Matepad and gift boxes, a wellness talk by Dr. Mahmod Bernardino on holistic health, and a session on the importance of cybersecurity in maintaining financial health. Additionally, the Komo App was introduced, showcasing digital tools designed to bolster the professional and personal lives of attendees.

Dominic M. Dizon, District Head of Langilan, conveyed his appreciation, recognizing the profound impact of such support on the community’s educators. “The support extended by EastWest Rural Bank is immeasurable. It enhances our capacity to effectively serve our students, ensuring that our teachers are not only well-equipped but also well-cared for,” remarked Mr. Dizon.
