The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said it was looking into a possible breach in its logistics, data, information, and management system.
“At about 10 a.m. today, it was reported that yun pong logistics, data, information, and management system experienced an alleged breach,” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said in a presser.
“As an initial action po, yun pong ating IT officer immediately shutdown po yung system to prevent damage if any,” she added.
Based on an initial assessment, Fajardo said they did not monitor any data breach.
Nevertheless, the PNP’s cyber response team continued with their assessment and investigation into the alleged incident.
Fajardo said the system contained vital data on the PNP’s logistical resources. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
