Sa pagharap ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos sa parliament ng Australia, Feb. 29, muli niyang iginiit na patuloy na ipaglalaban ng kaniyang administrasyon ang soberanya at hurisdiksyon ng Pilipinas. Aniya, hindi niya hahayaan ang anumang tangka mula sa sinumang foreign power na angkinin ang ating teritoryo.
Tinalakay rin ng Pangulo ang visiting forces agreement ng Australia sa Pilipinas na pagkakataon aniya para magtulungan sa harap ng mga banta sa rule of law, stability at kapayapaan sa rehiyon.
“Today, that peace, that stability, and our continues success, have come under threat. Once again, we must come together as partners to face to common challenges confronting the region. Not one single country can do it by itself,” bahagi ng pahayag ni Pres.
