CHINESE NEW YEAR IN BINONDO
The Binondo-Intramuros Bridge transforms into a mesmerizing spectacle as a dazzling fireworks display bursts into the sky, marking the arrival of the Chinese New Year in Manila’s Chinatown on Saturday, 10 February 2024.
This also marks the 430th anniversary of Binondo, the oldest Chinatown in the world, established in 1594, dating back to the Spanish colonial era.
To this day, it serves as a cultural and historical hub, preserving traditions, cuisine, and architecture that reflect the enduring influence of the Chinese community in the Philippines. | via Yummie Dingding
