Shaina Magdayao Shares Reflections During Quarantine As She Tests Positive for COVID-19

Shaina Magdayao revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 in early January. On Instagram, she opened up about how she spent her life during quarantine and overcame her battle with the disease.

The actress began her post by sharing a quote from American author R.M Drake about peace and courage. Then she wrote, “Beautiful words I kept on reading and reminding my frustrated, sick self during more than a week of isolation and testing positive.”

She also posted photos of her savoring the solitude as she spent her quarantine enjoying nature and sunlight, exercising, reading books, and drinking coffee in an open area in her home.

Her post included a photo of a positive swab test kit. Despite testing positive for COVID-19, Magdayao remains grateful for finally having time to rest and “pause.”

“Nevertheless, thank you, COVID, for the rest (lots of TV time too) and pause I did not ask for…..but apparently needed #solitude,” she added.

In the comments section, her followers and fellow celebrities Jhong Hilario and Alyana Asistio sent uplifting messages and wished her a speedy recovery.

Magdayao was among the cast of the upcoming television series “Pamilya Sagrado,” alongside Piolo Pascual, Tirso Cruz III, John Arcilla, Aiko Melendez, Mylene Dizon, Rosanna Roces, and Kyle Echarri.

In August 2023, she attended the world premiere of the movie, “Essential Truths of the Lake,” at the 76th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland with her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz. Meanwhile, in October of the same year, she graced the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea to represent the said movie.
