Indonesia and the Philippines have agreed to boost defence cooperation, after their leaders met in Manila and discussed tensions in the South China Sea. Both countries are among Southeast Asian nations that have overlapping claims with China in the disputed waters. This comes after Indonesia said it is ready to work with its neighbours to finalise a long-delayed code of conduct for the South China Sea.
