During the period 2014-2023, the Chapter awarded approximately $423,000 in scholarships to many truly gifted, talented, dedicated, deserving Chapter and family members.  Our top 4 named awards are:

  • The “Ed Dauksz Scholarship Award” named for our beloved former Chapter President and our favorite Marine
  • The “Major General Harry Greene STEM Scholarship Award” in honor and loving memory of a great leader, patriot, educator who made the ultimate sacrifice
  • The “Major General Carl F. McNair Jr. Scholarship Award” named for the Father of Modern Army Aviation and our long-standing Chapter Board member, former President, and stalwart GWC supporter for 40+ years.
  • The “PenFed Credit Union Business and Finance Scholarship Award” named after the PenFed Credit Union for their generosity in sponsoring the George Washington Chapter.

The scholarship program was established to provide recognition, inspiration, financial assistance and encouragement to our members and their families in keeping America’s Army Strong.  These awards are presented annually to outstanding members and family members enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs.
