The original “Miss Saigon” stars Lea Salonga and Jonathan Pryce reunited! Salonga excitedly shared a photo of them in the dressing room after Pryce watched her perform in the West End run of “Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends.”
“When a former co-star and absolute acting giant shows up!!! Thank you for being there, dear Jonathan!!!” she captioned her post.
The theater icons were all smiles! In the comments section, fans and celebrities Telly Leung, Tim Yap, Jaya, and Jed Madela expressed joy over their reunion. Some even called them “legends.”
Salonga portrayed Kim, while Pryce starred as The Engineer in “Miss Saigon” during its debut at the West End in 1989. They both won the Laurence Olivier Award and Tony Award for their respective roles.
