SERAMBINEWS.COM – Angkatan Laut Iran mengerahkan kapal perang Alborz ke Laut Merah pada Senin (1/1/2024).
Pengerahan kapal ini berselang sehari setelah Amerika Serikat (AS) menenggelamkan 3 kapal Houthi Yaman.
Kantor berita resmi Iran, Tasnim melaporkan kapal perang Alborz memasuki Laut Merah melewati Selat Bab Al-Mandab.
Kapal ini telah beroperasi sejak 2009 di perairan terbuka untuk berbagai misi.
Mulai dari mengamankan jalur pelayaran hingga melawan bajak laut seperti dikutip dari Al Arabiya, Senin (1/1/2024).
Kapal perang Alborz dilengkapi dengan persenjataan modern yang sebagian besar adalah produk buatan Iran.
