The Israel National Security Council will appear before the International Court of Justice in the Hague in defence of what South Africa calls a genocide that Israel has committed in Gaza. Media reports in Israel say a meeting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called, took this decision to pre-empt the ICJ from issuing an interim order that will stop the Israel military operation in Gaza. We spoke to our correspondent Trent Murray a short while ago, he’d just attended a media briefing on Israel’s decision.
