Gaza camp celebrates electricity return after 86 days

Palestinians in a Gaza displacement camp rejoice after receiving electricity for the first time in 86 days since Israel launched airstrikes on 7 October.

Gaza receives the majority of its electricity from Israeli power cables and generates some at a power plant in Gaza using fuel imported from Israel. Power outages are common, with about 12 to 15 hours of power available every day.
