Three parcels containing almost 15 kilograms of alleged shabu worth P103 million were seized at the Port of Clark on Saturday.
According to a Super Radyo dzBB report by Manny Vargas, the parcels originated from Texas, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, USA, and were initially declared as brochures.
Due to suspicions of possible illegal substances, the parcels were x-rayed and physically inspected.
Authorities found white crystallized substances. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency later confirmed it to be Shabu.
The substance reportedly weighed 12,944 grams and was worth a total of P103,113,600.
The shipment was the second drug shipment from America intercepted by the Port of Clark following eight packages containing over P56 million in shabu disguised as “dry food” intercepted on Tuesday. — Jiselle Casucian/DVM, GMA Integrated News
