Marcos orders 8 PNP camps real properties named after police officers

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named and renamed at least eight Philippine National Police (PNP) camps and real properties after former police officers who rendered exemplary service.

Marcos issued Proclamation Nos. 429 and 430 for this purpose, according to the Presidential Communications Office on Wednesday.

Under Proclamation No. 429 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on December 20, Marcos named and renamed the following properties as follows:

  • a donated lot to the PNP in Pasacao, Camarines Sur as Camp Brigadier General Ludovico Padilla Arejola;
  • a donated lot to the Police Regional Office-5 (PRO 5) as Camp Captain Salvador Jaucian del Rosaro, Sr;
  • the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office as Camp Colonel Juan Querubin Miranda;
  • 50th Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5 as Camp Police Max Jim Ramirez Tria; and
  • Camp Efigenio C Navarro, PRO MIMROPA Headquarters as Camp Brigadier General Efigenio C Navarro. 

 

“It is fitting to give honor to former servicemen who have shown patriotism, courage, and dedication in serving the country and the provinces to which they are assigned, and distinguished themselves in their service to the nation, by way of naming and renaming PNP facilities in their honor,” Marcos said.

Meanwhile, under Proclamation No. 430 also signed by Bersamin on Dec. 20, Marcos named and renamed the following properties as follows:

  • Police Regional Office 12 of General Santos City as Camp General Paulino T. Santos, Police Regional Office 12;
  • Biliran Police Provincial Office as Camp Private Andres P. Dadizon, Police Regional Office 8; and
  • Camarines Sur 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters as Camp 2LT Carlos Rafael Paz Imperial, Police Regional Office 5.

 

Marcos cited Section 2 of Republic Act No. 10086, or the Strengthening People’s Nationalism through Philippine History Act in naming and renaming the PNP camps and properties.
