Traffic was heavy around the Ninoy Aquino International Airport a few days before Christmas due to the number of travelers who headed to the airport to catch their flights.
JP Soriano also reported on 24 Oras Weekend on Saturday that queues were long at check-in counters at the NAIA terminals.
According to data from the Manila International Airport Authority, there was a 14% increase in the number of passengers at NAIA this December 2023 compared to the same period last year.
From December 1-22, 2022, 2,547,042 passengers passed through the NAIA terminals, compared to the 2,917,105 passengers who passed through during the same period this 2023.
On December 22, 2023, 143,394 travelers departed and arrived at NAIA terminals. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
