ICC rejects Philippines’ attempt to stop investigation on Duterte’s drug war

The International Criminal Court has given its chief prosecutor the green light to continue the probe into the Philippines’ drug war launched under former president Rodrigo Duterte. Manila had previously appealed to stop the investigation. Responding to the decision, Mr Duterte said only the Philippine courts can try any crime committed in the country.
