Presiden Joko Widodo mengumumkan kenaikan harga BBM bersubsidi.
Kenaikan harga ini diumumkan saat harga minyak mentah dunia mulai mengalami penurunan.
Di sisi lain Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif beralasan, penurunan harga minyak dunia tak bisa jadi tolak ukur dalam menentukan kebijakan harga BBM dalam negeri.
Selain itu, pemerintah telah mengalokasikan bantuan sosial sebesar Rp 24,17 triliun dari pengalihan subsidi BBM.
