묻지마’ 마약범처형 필리핀 두테르테, 국제형사재판소에 고발돼
A Philippines lawyer has filed a complaint at the International Criminal Court against President Rodrigo Duterte and eleven government officials, accusing them of crimes against humanity over his nationwide anti-drugs crackdown.
Jude Sabio, lawyer for self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato, called on the ICC to prosecute Duterte and the officials for the mass murder of thousands of Filipinos since Duterte’s term as mayor of Davao city and as president.
It is the first publicly known communication to the ICC against Duterte.
The President’s bloody war on drugs has left 9,000 people dead since he took office last summer.
