Has Putin unleashed the 'Father Of All Bombs'? Pro-Russians claim vid shows most powerful non-nuke weapon being dropped

PRO-RUSSIAN cronies have claimed Vladimir Putin has dropped the world’s most powerful non-nuclear bomb on Ukraine.

Dubbed “The Father Of All Bombs”, scary footage is said to show the moment the devastating bomb erupts into a giant fiery ball followed by a mushroom cloud of smoke.

The video, shared by pro-Putin “Z-channels” on Russian Telegram sites, shows the already blitzed Vovchansk in Kharkiv region being targeted by the deadly ODAB-9000 thermobaric or fuel-air explosive.

Despite the video it is yet to be confirmed by Ukraine or Russian officials if the bomb used was actually the ODAB-9000.

Many experts have rubbished the suggestion that Putin would drop such a powerful weapon in his arsenal on the area without a good reason.

Some believe the bomb may instead be the less powerful ODAB-1500 thermobaric bomb.

Others have speculated that the massive explosion resembles the aftereffects of the fearsome FAB-3000 aerial bombs used by Vlad’s forces against Ukraine.

Another theory is that it was the even less powerful FAB-1500 version, claim Fighterbomber channel on Telegram.

Sources say that in the unlikely circumstance that it was the ODAB-9000 that was dropped then it would require a specialist jet to transport it over Ukraine.

The explosive is so heavy that it would have to be deployed from a Russian strategic bomber such as the Tu-160, Tu-95 or Tu-22M3.

None of these jets were recorded as being in the area in recent days.

The aircraft would’ve had to fly in so close to the ground that it would’ve been easily detected and possibly shot down by a surface-to-air missile.

The ODAB-9000’s payload creates a blast that generates intense pressure and heat, which can be lethal even to individuals sheltered inside buildings or bunkers.

It is designed to destroy enemy positions over a wide area including entrenched infantry and lightly fortified structures.

The fuel-air explosion creates a prolonged blast wave and a vacuum, which can collapse buildings and cause internal injuries to those in its radius.

Ukrainian source Colonel Vitaliy Sarantsev said the claim may have been a Russian bid to demoralise Ukraine by “intimidating the local population and destabilising the region”.

Spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Military Command has also denied the ODAB-9000 claim.

Russian war analyst Sergei Karnaukhov and political analyst Yury Baranchik both commented on the reports saying they believe them to be true.

Baranchik wrote online: “In Volchansk, the Russian army used the ODAB-1500 vacuum bomb for the first time – according to other sources, the ODAB-9000.

“The media calls this bomb one of the most powerful non-nuclear munitions in the world – which is true.

“The estimated mass of the explosive is 7,100 kg. Although there is little official data on this munition, the external effects are obvious.”

Multiple other Russian channels also published similar reports.

Even esteemed Ukrainian media source Anton Gerashchenko said he was aware of the worrying claims.

He said: “Z-war correspondents report alleged use of  a super-powerful bomb in Volchansk.

“Some military bloggers claim that this is the first use of the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb. It is also called the ‘Daddy of all bombs’.

“It is the most powerful non-nuclear munition in the world.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Yevlash has previously said the Russians have “an extremely large number of them”.

“One such bomb is capable of destroying a multi-story building.”

The explosive video comes just a few days before the Russian tyrant’s momentous 72nd birthday on October 7.

Russian officials are said to be always looking to gift the dictator a number of “presents” for his birthdays.

With one theory saying Putin is line to be handed a new bomb.

Another present his Kremlin pals are hoping to give Putin is the military gain of Vuhledar in Donetsk region.

Russian forces hope to snatch the land away from the Ukrainians after months of furious fighting.
