THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) announced that the seven individuals who are co-accused of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo in the case of qualified human trafficking she is facing, have surrendered to authorities.
NBI Director Jaime Santiago identified them as Roderick Paul Bernardo Puajante, Juan Miguel Alpas, Rachel Joan Carreon, Jamielyn Cruz, Rita Uyturralde, Rowena Evangelista and Thelma Requiro.
The suspects were then placed under arrest pursuant to five arrest warrants issued against them for cases of qualified trafficking under Section 4(j) in relation to section 6(e) ,RA 10364 or Anti- Trafficking in person Act of 2012 and RA 11862 or Expanded Anti Trafficking in person Act of 2022.
It was learned that the suspects surrendered as they were being hunted down by the NBI-Central. Luzon office, NBI -Tarlac District Office, NBI-Organized and Transnational Crime Division and NBI-Counter Terrorism Division.
