In celebration of G DAY, Globe has successfully mobilized its customers to combat involuntary hunger, achieving its goal of collecting 100,000 Globe Rewards points five days ahead of schedule.

Through the G-gantic Goals campaign, 100,000 Globe customers donated 1 Rewards point each to support the Hapag Movement, a program focused on alleviating involuntary hunger and providing livelihood opportunities for vulnerable families across the country.

G-gantic Goals is part of the activities organized for G DAY, Globe’s annual event that celebrates its iconic 917 prefix. Along with exclusive rewards and exciting surprises, Globe has created a platform for customers to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need through this initiative.

“G-gantic Goals, or GGG, empowers our customers to become active agents of change, helping combat hunger and contributing to broader sustainable development goals. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us achieve our G-gantic goal of raising 100,000 Rewards points for the Hapag Movement ahead of schedule!” said Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.

Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, remarked, “By aligning our G Day celebration with The Hapag Movement, we’re demonstrating how technology can serve as a catalyst for social good. This campaign exemplifies how business objectives, customer engagement, and social responsibility can unite to create shared value for all.”

The campaign encouraged 1-point Rewards donations from customers starting September 1, marking the beginning of the month-long G DAY festivities. Originally set to conclude on September 20, the donation target was reached by September 15.

The campaign will culminate on September 28, coinciding with National Family Week, with a special treat for 917 Hapag Movement beneficiary families—approximately 3,688 individuals—who will receive grocery baskets filled with food essentials valued at over Php 1 million.

As an added surprise, these families will enjoy a free movie screening, an experience that will be a first for many. The screenings will be held at select Ayala Malls Cinemas across the country, including TriNoma, Ayala Malls Feliz, U.P. Town Center, Ayala Malls MarQuee Mall in Pampanga, Ayala Center Cebu, and Ayala Malls Abreeza in Davao.

Globe is partnering with organizations such as Ayala Foundation, Scholars of Sustenance Philippines, Ayala Malls Cinemas, and Puregold Price Club Inc. to bring this special experience to life.

G-gantic Goals is just one of the many initiatives that allow Globe customers to support important causes through their Rewards points. Globe encourages its customers to explore other G Day programs this year, highlighting how individual contributions can lead to significant collective impact.
