MANILA, Philippines — Kevin Quiambao and defending champion La Salle stay hungry despite becoming the first team to enter the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball Final Four.
Quiambao sustained his MVP form with 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists as La Salle dominated Adamson, 70-45, for their sixth straight game to remain on top with a 9-1 record on Saturday at the University of Santo Tomas Quadricentennial Pavilion.

“Nothing but respect sa Ateneo, kay coach Tab. Alam naman natin na kahit ganyan yung standing nila iba yung nilalaro nila pag La Salle kalaban. Sobrang excited din ako,” he said.
Joshua David, who has been instrumental for La Salle this year, said his impressive play so far is the result of embracing his role and sticking to coach Topex Robinson’s system.

“Lahat naman kasi sa amin ginagampanan namin yung each role namin eh so yun nga if mahihigitan pa namin yung mga role namin Sobrang bonus na yun talaga,” said David, who had 11 points, four assists, and three rebounds.
Like Quiambao, the La Salle guard remains hungry as they have yet to reach their ultimate goal this season.
“Sa mga next game namin need pa namin magfocus lalo na sa second round kumbaga yung mga ibang team nagaadjust na so dapat ready lang kami,” David said. “Sabi lang din ni KQ na dapat every game championship.”
