Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Saturday (November 30) joins President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr in a visit to fire-hit families from Isla Puting Bato who are currently staying at the evacuation center in Delpan in Tondo, Manila.
Secretary Gatchalian assisted President Marcos as the chief executive went around the evacuation center to check on the condition of the evacuees and engaged them in brief conversations.
The DSWD Field Office-National Capital Region (NCR) distributed various forms of assistance to the evacuees.
The other officials who joined the presidential visit were DSWD Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez, Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and Vice-Mayor Yul Servo.
