Nakabantay ngayon ang Department of Health sa posibleng pagtaas ng kaso ng sakit na mpox sa Pilipinas matapos itong muling ideklara bilang global health emergency ng World Health Organization.
Ayon sa DOH, wala pa namang bagong kaso sa bansa pero pinag-iingat nito ang publiko dahil nakukuha ito sa pamamagitan ng skin contact at wala pang bakuna para rito.
