LIVE: PVL All-Filipino – Creamline vs Nxled, PLDT vs Cignal
“We’re happy because we won this game. I think we always keep in mind what coach says—never let our guard down. No matter who our opponent is, we shouldn’t be complacent because that’s when we lose, when we let up. That’s what coach constantly reminds us,” Pons said after their 16th straight win.
The last time that Creamline lost was back in the second round of the Reinforced Conference last year. The Cool Smashers last had this long of a streak, 19 games which is the longest since the league turned pro, before being stunned by Chery Tiggo on March 16, 2024.

“Of course, we’re happy, and the players always deliver whenever they’re sent in,” coach Sherwin Meneses said after being able to field all of his players. “This will definitely be useful in our future games, having everyone get playing time. It’s a blessing for Creamline to secure such a good win.”
“At least our players consistently show their strengths. For the next game, we’ll focus on figuring out the right combination to use,” he added.
SCHEDULE: PVL All-Filipino Conference 2024-2025
The Chameleons tried to extend the match with a surprising 14-9 lead in the third set, but timely video challenges allowed the momentum to shift to Creamline.
After an attack error by Carlos, Creamline carved out a 10-1 landslide to keep Nxled searching for a breakthrough win.
This is Nxled’s 15th straight defeat since winning its opening game against Galeries Tower in the Reinforced Conference.
Lycha Ebon, May Luna and Lucille Almonte pitched in six points each in the sorry loss.
Creamline want to stay hot in front of Cignal, which is battling PLDT as of posting, on Feb. 1 while Nxled looks to end the slide against the Highrisers on Feb. 8, both still at PhilSports Arena.
