The BMA’s Northern Ireland Consultants Committee has accepted a pay offer from the Department of Health in a move that ends their pay dispute.
After a three week referendum of consultants in Northern Ireland that saw a 75.1% turnout, 94.3% voted to accept a 5.26% average additional uplift. The deal was offered after pay negotiations that led to consultants suspending the strike action that they had planned for June.1
