Hong Kong police have launched a search for a lawyer who was reported missing by his wife on Thursday evening.
Officers from the missing persons unit began looking for the 49-year-old man on Lamma Island on Friday morning, knocking on doors and asking residents if anyone had seen him.
The Post learned that the search was launched on the outlying island as the last signal from his mobile phone signal was traced there.
The barrister, who lives in Tung Chung on Lantau Island, went to his office in Admiralty on Wednesday morning and later dined with his wife at a restaurant in Wan Chai in the evening.
After dinner, he told his wife that he was going to bring his personal belongings back to his office. She returned to their home in Tung Chung.
