The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Wednesday urged the public to report fraudulent solicitation acts by individuals claiming to be the agency’s officials.
The advisory came after reports that some individuals have been soliciting financial assistance, claiming they were CAAP officials.
“The Authority reiterates its public advisory for the general public and all its stakeholders that CAAP officials and personnel have never and will never solicit goods and/or money from any private person or entity,” CAAP said in a statement.
“We further urge the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution,” it added.
CAAP also said its official communications and issuances can only be found on its official website and Facebook page. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
