A graduate of the University of Cebu topped the mechanical engineers licensure examination held earlier this month, according to the Professional Regulation Commission.
According to the PRC, 1,144 out of 3,485 passed the mechanical engineers licensure examination and 56 out of 113 passed the certified plant mechanics (computer-based and paper and pencil) licensure examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.
John Philip Minancillo of the University of Cebu topped the mechanical engineers exam with a score of 90.60%, while the top performing school with at least 50 test takers is Batangas State University – Alangilan, with 164 of its 175 examinees passing.

Ryan Justine Pardillo Manreal of the Palawan State University – Puerto Princesa, meanwhile, topped the certified plant mechanics licensure exam with a score of 83.60%.
